With the intention to contribute with the well-being of our environment and the preservation of it, for future generation, as well as providing aid to undeveloped communities, we decided to create the association “ Tierra Sacra”. It is an open, non- profitable association (NGO), any one with the will to participate or contribute with some support is more than welcome to join. In the following we present the principles and objectives that we pursuit.

The main principle of the association is to promote and spread the importance of ecology, as a mean of preserving the environment, through the exchange of knowledge with private institutions, universities, public organizations both national and international.

Promote the learning of the English language between the local people of undeveloped communities; in order to facilitate the exchange of knowledge through the cultural exchange program we are aiming to establish.

Capacitate and guide the local people of rural communities, in the use of innocuous technologies towards the environment, promote reforestation techniques, rational use of water, integral management of solid waste, substitution of traditional energy sources for other less contaminant and any other activity that contributes to the preservation of the environment and the well-being of habitants.

Provide rural undeveloped communities with the knowledge, skills and necessary techniques to offer them a sustainable work and income, contributing to improve their quality of life and possibilities.

Rescue and promote the harmonious and ecological lifestyle and customs of pre-hispanic cultures. We aim to revalue and do what is possible for them in order to preserve their unique culture.

Finally I am excited to introduce our new and innovative project of sustainable and ethical fashion. The concept was shaped around our main principles and was founded in the island of Amantani in Puno in April 2006. My wife; Laerke Skyum, is a Danish fashion designer. It was with her vision of designing, clothing in association with rural community in Peru. The Island of Amantani in the south of the Peruvian Andes was the ideal place and we have been received with open arms by the people who are happy to participate. We are now aiming to construct their work shop, so they can work under better conditions and more efficiently. The Brand Anardo & Skyum has received very positive respond and will soon have their third collection ready.
